Paragliding - Gliding: Laragne chabre Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 30C Sea Temperature: Weather: Sun / lovely cumulus Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Probably my best flight of the whole holiday.
A 65k task set to Noyers, back to Beaumont and then the camp site.
A real interesting flight. flew outta my skin and pretty much circled in
every thermal I caught as cloud base wasnt that high. 7,000 ft which isn't
that big for Hautes Alpes.
A few low saves especially near Ubac ridge and again back at chabre and
Beaumont. Eventually made it last into the goal field with a time of 2 and
a half hours which was slow but then again Im flying on poor performance
glider in comparison to the leaders. Only 5 in goal out of 21 I think that
day so was pretty chuffed and probably my best flight of my career giving
the hard conditions.
Well and truly stoked
